Old Time Music

Old Skeddadlelink

Recorded by Melvin Wine (1908- 2003) in 1976 on his Cold Frosty Morning album. This tune is nearly identical to “Mountain Hornpipe,” which appears in Elias Howe’s School for the Violin, (Boston, 1851). Carl Fleischhauer wrote the notes and made the recordings, which included Melvin’s two sons, Grafton on plectrum banjo and Danzil on Guitar. Chris fiddle: adae
